Just read Van's blog..and indeed.. reading through what she said already brought back memories...
Memories of how a group of crazy people actually bothered to meet up almost everyday...
It started with many of us meeting online every nite into the wee hours on MSN... chatting and talking and crapping abt anything and everything under the sun....
Besides the nonsense stuffs, we also pray for one another on MSN.. yes.. we really did... and we had our ways of "praying in tongues" on the screen... hahahahaha.... it was funny.. but everyone really had a nice time catching up and fellowshipping.. yes... on MSN... through that... we began meeting up for Supper once in a while... and we called ourselves the Supper Gang after a few supper...
Not long after, we started to meet for dinner after school/work... then we'll go walk ard town, shopping or even just sitting in the restaurants we are at for hours without feeling tired....
Then I had BS every Wed at Riverwalk... and we'll meet every Wed just to have Chicken Rice.. we were at the same place for almost at least 2-3 months... (BS is 10 lessons ma..) and at that point, we were always joking that if any usher leaders were to look for us urgently, they can just go to City Hall's Chicken Rice shop and find us there... hahahaha.....
And while i have my BS, they'll go Anderson's for ice cream or sit down at Central's Long John Silvers for more crap and stuff.. I'll join them when i'm done and we'll all make our way home after that.... we'll continue our chat on MSN... and this went on for months and months....
I doubt we rem when we began getting so close together.. or when we started the outings.. prob we can look through the photos... or recall when the people first joined the ministry.....
We were a bunch of people.. that went through thick and thin, went through serving together... we loved serving with one another..and we loved and enjoyed each other's company.. we had lots fun and laughter together... and we were by then well known by the term. "EG" = Everyday Gang.
Because we met up almost everyday.. we can be meeting up as much as 4 times a week.. including Sundays....
Sundays are also spent together... we'll stay back for Recycling together, we'll go for lunch at 3-4pm at Airport or somewhere else.. or we'll just head somewhere for a nice meal at times.. it could be just a few of us.. or many of us... but we always enjoyed each other's company....
Like what Van said... we all loved photos and we took lots of photos... we captured every moment together...and we had the life of our time.... :)
The sad thing came when 4S5 was to multiply the 1st time.... we were sad.. but we were quite fortunate.. because EG remained pretty intact.. phew.... but we had our dear Mr Noisy aka Ray who left us..... it was a sad separation.. and i rem the faithful Sunday when we went to KTV....
We were speculating who were the ones leaving besides him and we specially took many photos that week.. it was kindda lost as it was like we are losing somebody close to us....
And since that multiplication... i actually became closer to Mr Noisy. Hahaha.. more things to complain to one another and it sort of actually made me treasure the friendship more...
Well.. people say that when something is not close to you, you'll treasure it more.... how true....
And though he left the section, EG remained pretty much the same..and we still meet up for fellowship and etc... few months later came some more multiplication and more people left...and later on the JW multiplication.....
It has been like 2 years since we first multiplied... but I'm glad.. pretty glad.. that EG has grown... we inducted more people in, and we are still pretty much the same.. except for some minor differences and changes.... we are still the same bunch of people tat loves one another, will be there for one another....
I treasure the times spent together, the birthday celebrations that we will have every other month... and the outings tat we still get to have.... I miss EG....
