We are often reminded not to judge. But how often do we really do that?
Or how often can we stop doing that?
Whenever we see something that we thought is not supposed to be, we judge.
When we see something that we dont like, we judge.

It is probably so difficult to not judge.
Vegeance belongs to the Lord. Let the Lord judge, and we'll not be judged in the same way.

After what i seen and experienced over the last few days, i really felt that COMMUNICATION is soooooooooo important. Communication is not about talking and hearing. It's about listening, and not just listening to the words that is being spoken out of the person's mouth. But also, listening with the tone, the heart and intention of the person.

What may just be a joke, may seem to be so serious to another.
What was communicated with an intention could be perceived by another in a totally different manner. And that's why, misunderstanding and judgment comes about.

It is so important to know a person. When you truly know a person, and know his/her character, you know what he/she said... is not what you think it is. I always believe in listening with my heart. My ex-leader can be so harsh with his words. He can say things that you'll be hurt forever. He may put things across in a way you just don't like it. BUT.. if you truly know where he is coming from, you will not blame him, neither will you be angry with him. Because, you know... deep now.. what came out of his mouth, is not what he really meant. He had meant it with care and concern and he had meant it for your own good.
Through him, that's where I learnt, we don't take in 100% what we hear/listen with our ears.
Many times, it has to be put through a filtering process to know the heart of the person who is talking to you.
Of coz, this is only possible if you have a relationship with the person.

Same with God. If we truly have a relationship with God, we'll know that things that God wants us to do/not do, is not because He meant to harm us, stop us from enjoying what we think is cool or nice. But, if we truly understand the heart of God, we'll know that whatever have been written in the Bible, is for our own good. We may not be able to see it now, for our thoughts and ways are not higher than His. But in time to come, we'll know... it is all because of God's sovereignty, that He kept us alive and brought us to where we are today.

Well, ultimately, it still falls back to having a relationship with the person you are COMMUNICATING with, and knowing the heart/intention of the person...
Without all these... misunderstanding, misinterpretation will take place.. and that is where.. judgment falls.. upon innocent parties......

Judge not, lest you be judged...
I'm also learning... to be more gracious.. to see things from other's point of view....
We're all not perfect.. but we learn... we give people chances.
Someone with a bad past/history doesnt mean that person can never change.
If God can forgive us for ALL our sins, as long as we are repentant, what more us to judge and not forgive?
Who are we to say that this person is NO GOOD?? Who are we??
Please for goodness sake.... give people a chance to turn over a new leaf..
Isn't that what Christianity is all about?????????????????????????????

Haha.. at 52 years old...she enrolled herself into SOT, wanting to know more about God and to have such a spiritual hunger.. Cool! :)

And.. at the age of 52...she's writing Book Review that even a 20 year old is struggling with..
BUT.. I'm so proud of her... though she nags that I don't help her with it.. (er.. how to help her leh..??) She was still able to read and write out something that is decent!
Hey..she's a perfectionist also k... she was so unsatisfied with her 1st copy..(because of all the blanko and typo..) that she re-copied 16 chapters out again..
Err.. i got no time to help her type out chapter by chapter la.. so i told her.. its more sincere if u hand-write it.. at least the teacher/marker knows that you wrote it on your own...
Yup.. it's no excuse.. but i don't want to help her type halfway to find that I've got no more time to help her finish it.. in the event I'm really bogged down by other stuffs...

AND... I'm so proud to say that Mummy has finished her 52 chapters of Spirit-Filled Believer's Handbook!! Give mummy a BIG BIG hand!! :) *clap clap clap*

With so many diverse people in our lives, how do we decide what position each individual fills? The answer is quite simple: permit each person to voluntarily determine who he or she desires to be in your life. They never do so by their words, or by their intentions—they do so only by their actions.

James tells us that we need to be doers of the Word of God, and that we continually need to look at ourselves in the illuminated mirror of the Scriptures. What is in a mirror when we look at ourselves becomes a lens when we look at our relationships. You see, once we ourselves become doers of the Word of God, we must expect that of other people as well. While we may think one person is great and another is a hassle, the truth of who they are in our lives cannot be defined by our perception or their personalities. It must be defined by their actions and the principles they choose to embrace.

In 1967, the world saw Israel’s new Defense Minister, Moshe Dayan, through a new lens, one that carried him once again into center stage. Aware of Egypt’s mobilization on her borders, Dayan avoided outside help and began to act by readying his troops for another concentrated war. With each new crisis, it became acutely obvious the awesome role this man would perpetually play inside his nation’s history. Yes, each person is defined by their actions, and when we see people through that lens of relationship, it becomes very clear the role each one is to play in our lives along with we in theirs.

So much has been happening lately.. that i really dunno what to say..
I pray that God, I wont turn to be a judge.
I dun wan to judge others, lest i be judged.
But somehow, i really wonder..

Human are all selfish.. and we only do things that we enjoy doing..
If we wanna do it, we'll do it fast and good...
If we don't wanna do it, we'll not do it no matter how and we'll procrastinate about it...
We'll just 1001 reasons why we can't do it.. and another 1001 reasons to justify our actions...
Sigh....

What happened to where there's a will.. there's a way...??
With God, all things are possible.... ???

But we choose to let circumstances decide for us...
Watever happens, are we just going to use that as a reason why tasks given to us cannot be accomplished?? Do we take things in our own hands and compromise upon it??

I'm tired... of running the race alone.. i need supporters.. i need cheerleaders... i need people to lead me along and pull me up when i fall.....

Is there anyone who's willing to run the race together with me????
