You Are Picky When it Counts

Like most sane women, you want a great guy who will treat you well. But you're also willing to put up with a few flaws in your Mr. Right You should congratulate yourself on having a realistic approach to dating. You probably have quite a few great guys you can date!

After numerous reminder and phone calls, i realised that what's supposed to be done was yet still incomplete.
I made the call. The conversation went:

*ring ring*
A: hello.. u want to ask me about xxx rite??
Me: yes.
A:errr..
Me: I thought you said you were going to do it in the afternoon?
A: I was busy.
Me: Then why didn't you get me to help you with it?
A:I haven't asked.
Me: huh?
A: just put xxx la..
Me: but they didn't even xxx....
A: aiyah.. they don't xxx one la.. forever.. even after umpteem reminders..
Me: huh?
A: anyway.. you can already xxx it what...
Me: I've already xxx..
A: then okay loh. tmr then i'll do it la...
Me: It's wed already leh...
A: aiyah.. just put xxx la...
Me: you put urself loh...
A: you want to help me or not? just put xxx can one la...i got no time to ask them..
Me: you should have done it few days back....
A: i didn't ask, no time...
Me:.....
A: you want to help me or not?
Me: okay lo.. just put xxx ah....
A: yah..okay... bye bye..

*click*

And who's the one who told me about doing certain things just to fulfill righteousness?
And what has doing things just so to fulfill righteousness bring about?

Do we do things that we are asked to do faithfully, because we see a need to do it, or just because we want to fulfill righteousness?
Are we standing in the gap and understanding the purpose of things being done?
When asked to get things done, why do we do it?
When we do not understand the rationale, do we find out and ask?

I've grown beyond the "do it because i say so" season.
That's never a reason I'll take.
Of coz I'm not saying that we question everything that we are asked to do, but I always believe that when we understand the logic and rationale behind doing certain things, we can do it with more fervency and enthusiasm. And i guess that's a better thing to do and learn rather than to do things JUST TO FULFILL RIGHTEOUSNESS.....

Sigh.. and i wonder.. how what you did brought you to where you are.

Okay... this is a post on rainbow..
I saw a rainbow last Friday.


It was such a nice sight. Pity Darling not with me.
I was on my way home from Yishun MRT.
Along the pathway, I saw many people standing around looking into the sky.
Being a typical curious Singaporean, I looked up in wonder.
And I was so surprised to see a nice big, differentiated rainbow. That meaning, the colors were really sooooo well defined and sooooo obvious and soooo nice!!!

I doubt and I don't remember seeing such a nice rainbow in my life!
It was like... sooo clear!!!

I mentioned that there were many people standing along the pathway and yes, they were taking pictures with their handy camera-handphones.
Owning 2 of such, how can I not join in the crowd? Haha...

So i walked down further and tried to get a nicer and better view. I took 4 pictures.
But now, I can't upload it coz this website has some problems.. Urgh!!
Look at my MSN dp, one of it is there..
Not as clear as what my naked eye saw, but it was still a nice sight.
I took 4 shots and then left for home.

It was so nice.. oh... i made 2 wishes too.. :)

And I was reminded of God's covenant with Noah.
God assured Noah that He would never destroy mankind again with a flood.
Do you know when the 1st rainbow appeared to mankind?
After the Great Flood that destroyed the whole earth, except for Noah and his ark.
God said that the rainbow is a reminder of His covenant with Noah that He would never destroy mankind with flood ever again....
Yah.. I think I didn't remembered wrongly... Hehee...

Seeing the rainbow also caused me to ponder over why it appeared last Friday.
Is He going to come soon??
Mixed feelings.. I need to evangelise even more and be more urgent each day.
Time is running short... We can't afford to lose more time.

God, empower me to be a better servant for You, that I can reach out to the lost with Your love and kindness, that my light will shine for Your name's sake.
Amen.

If you're truly happy with every aspect of your relationship, that's great! If not, you ought to start voicing out your displeasure instead of bottling everything up – if you don't tell him how you truly feel, he will never know. Remember, the lack of good communication of feelings is often the cause of emotional distancing in relationships.

There's always a fine line between willingness & reluctant to be taught.
This sentence sounds weird but I can't really put it into words now.
Realised that my volcabulary is getting worse lately.
Maybe I should start reading up more or I'll use the bulk of what I've learnt, though not much. Heh.

Yup. Back to the topic.
Who do we really impart our skills and knowledge to?
Do we pay more attention to those who press in?
Or are we supposed to be always spoon-feeding them?

I guess I'd choose to do the first.
We often realise that the people who learnt the most and grow the most are those who have a willingness to learn. Not just that, but a willingness to press in.
When they press in, it makes all the teaching much easier.
They'll be the ones who call you when they need help, when they have questions, when they are lost.
To those who think they have known enough and has no need to check or ask anyone anything, they are the ones who'll often suffer.
There's never an end or a limit to how much we can learn.
Like someone ever said, there's no end to learning and of coz the famous saying, huo dao lao xue dao lao.

Sometimes, it can get so frustrating when we try to teach, challenge and impart stuffs to someone who is not really interested. Its like banging your head on the wall. Or just throwing a tennis ball against a wall.
It simply bounce back and hit you hard. Real hard.
They want to grow, they want to learn. But, there's a missing factor.

I'm in the process of discovering that factor.
What's the thing that will spur them to press in and ask?
Or what will cause them to ask you?

I've learnt along the way that some people whom you think are not worth teaching, because of whatever preception you have of them initially, may turn out to be the most teachable people you ever known. They may not know much, but with a humble spirit, they are always willing to press in and reach out for more. How can you not give this kind of people a chance?
Even the woman with the issue of blood pressed in to Jesus.
She reached out, she touched the hem of His garment. And with faith, she believed and she got what she wanted.

Is there anywhere in the Bible that says that we can sit by, watch and blessings and knowledge will come our way. Not that I can remember.
Whoever wants to get something has always got to step out, reach out and take hold of what you want. And those people are never forgotten. They always succeed.

It's time to Arise!!

And coincidentally, it's Arise & Build this weekend.
I'm so excited.. Coz I know God is gonna do something extraordinary in my life once again.
Thank You God, for having the chance to give to Your Kingdom's purpose!
